"2023 EU-Taiwan Circular Economy -Textile and Plastic " Successfully Held

The "2023 EU-Taiwan Circular Economy -Textile and Plastic " was jointly organized by the European Economic and Trade Office(EETO), International Trade Administration, Ministry of Economic Affairs (ITA/MOEA), Industrial Development Administration, Ministry of Economic Affairs(IDA/MOEA) and Ministry of Environment (MOENV),Chinese National Federation of Industries (CNFI). The event, executed by the EBRC/ITRI, was successfully took place on 31 October at the Chang Yung-Fa Foundation International Conference Center, and gathered over 150 industrial delegates to participate.

The opening was remarked on by Mr. Filip Grzegorzewski, Head of the European Economic and Trade Office, and Mr. Shieu Fuh-Sheng, Minister of the Ministry of Environment. The keynote speeches were delivered by Maive Rute, Deputy Director-General of the DG Internal Market, Industry, Entrepreneurship, and SMEs (GROW) at the European Commission, and Ms. Lai Ying-Ying, Director General, Resource Circulation Administration, Ministry of Environment, on policies and regulations related to circular economy practices in the textile and plastic industries.

The event also invited the speakers from industrial representatives of the EU and Taiwan to share their experiences in the respective fields of textiles and plastics, thus delivered very fruitful information exchange with both sides.
