2022 EU-Taiwan-Japan-Korea Offshore Wind Seminar-Cooperation for Global and Regional Supply Chains

The EU-Taiwan-Japan-Korea Offshore Wind Seminar–Cooperation for Global and Regional Supply Chains was successfully implemented in a hybrid format on 6 July 2022, gathering more than 600 participants locally and internationally to join.

The opening remarks were delivered by Mr. Erlendas Grigorovic, Deputy Head of Unit of International Relations, DG ENER, European Commission; Ms. Wang Mei-Hua, Minister of the Ministry of Economic Affairs, Taiwan; Mr. Thomas Jürgensen, Acting Head of the EETO; Mr. Haitze Siemers, Chargé d’Affaires of the European Union to Japan and Maria Castillo Fernandez, Ambassador of the European Union to the Republic of Korea.

The speakers from the EU, Taiwan, Japan and Korea shared the latest Offshore Wind energy policy of Europe and Asia, the opportunities for a regional supply chain in the offshore wind on critical elements, and also discuss the global trend in floating offshore wind power. Many speakers also addressed how to solve the future challenges and explore the opportunities to cooperate in building an efficient and sustainable global and regional supply chain.
