2022 EU-Taiwan Investment Partnership on EV Suply Chain Forum

To facilitate investment and cooperation between Taiwan and Europe in the electric vehicle supply chain, the European Economic and Trade Office (ETO), together with the 14 EU member states in Taiwan,MOEA and Taoyuan City Government organized the EU-Taiwan Investment Partnership on EV Supply Chain Forum and investment fair was successfully implemented in Novotel Hotel on 4 Oct 2022, gathering nearly 200 participants to join the forum.

‘The EU and Taiwan share the same goals for a green future. Europe is a perfect place for Taiwanese companies to work together,’ said Filip Grzegorzewski, Head of the EETO. As the EU aims to phase out new ICE vehicles by 2035, Taiwan’s leading ICT firms can help Europe integrate green solutions while it pursues a greater rollout of e-mobility. On the other hand, under its 2050 industrial strategy, Taiwan is also aiming to achieve a 100% uptake of EVs by 2040. Collaboration between the EU and Taiwan can help the two sides to achieve these common goals. During the panel sessions, it was revealed that Taiwanese businesses were eager to network with EU companies and collaborate with automakers. Participants urged stakeholders to establish a matchmaking platform to bring partnerships to fruition.
